India vs Pakistan: Champions Trophy clash will be decided by how Virat Kohli and Co tackle pace brigade

A pacemaker Pakistan comes from one of those long stops of intimidation. A ravine, a point, a man with a few slips and third waiting in the odds. An Indian batter in position stands for battle. It faucets and double faucets no. The eyes are pierced in the pitcher, who, currently, rolls on the lawn.

The crowd in the background is covered with a mix of flags of India and Pakistan. Fans of each section are at risk of losing their voice trying to sing louder than their counterparts. A moment later, when the ball is delivered, one of the two fan groups is likely to completely damage their vocal cords. This will depend on the warrior who won in this battle.

For years, the pitcher was Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar. It was Imran Khan in front of them. This will be one of Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan and Hasan Ali next week.

For years, the drummer was Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. This will be one of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan next week. It may even be MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh if they decide to entertain one last time. When India takes in the cricket field of Pakistan, every move and not move is a battle. Several smaller battles form the artillery of the cricket war under cover of a game between India and Pakistan. But the battle that always influences the winner of the most important fight is between the pitchers – especially the fastest men – the men in green and the men in blue.

“I think this has been the case for the past 60 years,” Shahid Afridi said in Calcutta there are about a year. He was captain T20 of the national team, and talked about how the pitchers Pakistan should triumph over the Indian hitters.

The note Afridi was ahead of the conflict in Pakistan against India in World T20 last year. In this match, Pakistan pitchers however, the unbeaten half a century Kohli has dominated to see India on a difficult quest. The victory maintained the same record of India against Pakistan in World Cups.

But the story in Champions Trophy is a bit different. From 2013, when Indian hitters beat Pakistan’s attack and rain to enjoy a comfortable victory, Pakistan has taken over.

The Pakistani bowling team combined to end the 302 India search for 54 races at Centurion in the 2009 edition, however, it was Pakistan’s victory at Birmingham in 2004 which marked the power of their bowling. Akhtar and Naved-ul-Hasan dismantled a threshing line star from India with four windows each.

Akhtar has completed with an incessant pace, while Hasan stepped on the ball in favorable English conditions. India had no response to the combination, as they were fired for minuscule 200.

“We have a better record against India in the Champions Trophy, not in other competitions. We try to keep it against them and it is very exciting,” said Sarfaraz Ahmed in the Indian camp comparison of the two Champions Trophy teams. He is now the captain of Pakistan one day, and spoke of the confidence of past victories in the pre-Champions Trophy press conference. But the Birmingham conflict in 2017 between the big rivals on June 4 will not be decided by which of the two teams have been more successful in the tournament. He could, as always, be decided by the glare of a day – Indian hitters or Pakistan pitchers.
